Dear GLCEDC Members & Friends:
I hope this letter finds you as well as possible given the current circumstances due to COVID-19. The GLCEDC understands businesses need more support now than ever and we encourage you to call on us for help at anytime.
I am pleased to report that in Livingston County, approximately 500 business have collectively received nearly $55,000,000 of federal stimulus via the Payroll Protection Plan administered by local lending institutions. Additionally, multiple businesses in Fairbury and Pontiac have received funding approval via the Illinois Downstate Small Business Stabilization Program and administered by their respective municipality.

Brad Solberg, President, OSF HealthCare St. James - John W. Albrecht Medical Center and Chairman of the GLCEDC collaborated with Adam Dontz, CEO, GLCEDC, to create a video highlighting the assets of OSF HealthCare. The video will be used as a tool to retain and attract new employees and businesses to Livingston County.

The GLCEDC will host its 11th Annual Golf Outing on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at the Dwight Country Club.
Given the longstanding and steadfast support of our members, and recognizing the economic hardship from COVID-19, the GLCEDC has reduced the cost of all sponsorship levels.
When conditions improve, we will reinstate previous pricing; however, our present focus is to provide a safe and enjoyable outing for you to reconnect with existing friends and to meet new ones!

Wally's Operating Company, LLC Pontiac, was approved by the GLCEDC and the Livingston County Board for a $137,500 Economic Incentive Grant to hire over 100 new employees at the Wally's Auto Travel Center.
Wally’s will use the incentive for building improvements and a gateway sign displaying the names of businesses throughout the Deerfield Road corridor.

Old Route 66 Family Restaurant, Dwight, was approved for a $3,750 Building Improvement Grant by the GLCEDC. The restaurant will use the funds toward expanding their building and improving the interior of the restaurant.

Economic Forecast

Prior to COVID-19, the GLCEDC hosted its GLCEDC Economic Forecast with over 120 people in attendance. The keynote speaker was Eric Watkins, General Director of Economic and Industrial Development, Union Pacific Railroad.
The event raised nearly $7,500 and the profits will be invested in our community through incentives provided by the GLCEDC. To view our incentives
