Teal Bags are back!
HUMC will be collecting items for Park View’s Food for Thought from Sunday, June 15th, to Sunday, July 13th. Please scan the QR code for a list of needed items and frequently asked questions. You do not need to buy all the items on the list- pick and choose what you would like to donate.
No bags? No problem. Drop your items in the plastic container marked “Park View”. Please bring your items to the church by July 13. Questions email Debbie Brabrand at dsbrabrand@yahoo.com. Thank you for being so supportive!

Appalachia Service Project - Additional Volunteer Needed
We are excited to be sending a team to serve with the Appalachia Service Project (ASP) this year for the first time in a few years. We currently have four folks signed up to go (2 youth and 2 adults), and we could use at least one more volunteer to meet the desired minimum of five requested by ASP.
The trip dates are Sunday July 27 through Saturday August 2, with Sunday and Saturday being travel days. We are serving in the town of Appalachia, VA in Wise County, about a four hour drive from Lynchburg.
The additional volunteer can be either an adult or a youth. If you want to come with a buddy, we can probably accommodate that by just letting the ASP center know that we're increasing our team size. Those of us who have participated in the past know the positive impact that this week of service makes, both for the recipients and for the mission team members. If interested, please contact Jeff Brown (434-841-6747) or Pastor Jim as soon as possible and we can answer any questions that you have.

Welcome Center on Sunday Mornings!
We are seeking volunteers to help with our Sunday morning hospitality. On Sunday mornings, snacks, coffee, and water are available in the Welcome Center before each service. Pre-packaged snacks are readily available and should be supplemented with fresh items you can easily pick up at your local grocery store. Folks who sign up need to have the Welcome Center ready at 8:45 and clean up after the worship service.More volunteers are needed to buy and put out the snacks on Sunday mornings, make the coffee, and clean up after the worship service (typically takes 15 minutes). More specific directions will be posted in the hospitality kitchen off the narthex. If you can help with hospitality this way, please click the link HERE. Thank you!
