CHAMBER LUNCH & LEAD SHARE
Member Testimonial:
Went to a lead chair in February in Arlington, Va. Met with the gentleman at that time who is the office manager for a small law firm. As we dined over lunch at Matchbox and shared our infomercials he asked questions about pricing and inclusions in payroll, with a particular interest on the HR piece since he indicated he looking to outsource payroll fairly soon. He mentioned that he would be hiring a new person shortly and wanted to ensure that he had efficiency, compliance policies, etc., all in order.
He also indicated he didn't like the prices that he was hearing from some of the companies he had spoken with previously and was very impressed with mine for his three employees.

I stayed in contact during the subsequent weeks and he agreed to move forward in April. He has been up and running for the last couple of months and has been pleased with our payroll service.

I've been a member of NVBCC from December 2021 and it has been extremely rewarding. I've made quality connections and rewarding relationships all while having fun! Thanks NVBCC!

NORTHERN VIRGINIA BUSINESS ROUNDTABLE

A conversation with Governor Youngkin, Secretary Merrick, and Members of the
Alexandria Chamber of Commerce, Arlington Chamber of Commerce, and Northern Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce joined June 24,2022. Over 80 business owners convened to reflect and discuss three topics:
  • As business owners, what hurdles do you continue to face your business - whether it be hiring shortages, rising inflation, or
regulation that you continue to face?

  • As we know a top priority of the business community is access to well-trained talent, what workforce solutions would you like to see to support the needs of businesses in Northern Virginia?

  • What can we be doing from an administration standpoint to foster greater collaboration with Virginia’s business community.
