Annual Meeting Wrap-Up
Rev. Dr. Cindy Bacon Hammer, Moderator
|
|
The 2021 Annual Meeting and Conference of the NACCC was an enormous success! Thank you to all who contributed to making it work so well: the Tech Team, the AMC Committee, the Host Committee, Workshop Presenters-both virtual and in person, Leadership, Staff, Lecturers, and all Attendees. Your thoughtful preparation made the whole experience faith-expanding and filled with fellowship and love. I cannot thank you enough.
Please remember that all of the individual components of the AMC were recorded and are available for your viewing. Also, the pre-recorded workshops are still posted on the website for you to view in your own time.
Prayerfully, we will see you all in person, or virtually, in Wichita next June!

Citation Award to Tom Van Tassell
Rev. Arthur P. Ritter, Chair, Board of Directors
|
At this year’s virtual Annual Meeting and Conference, the NACCC Board of Directors presented its Citation award to the Rev. Thomas H. Van Tassell.
Tom was honored for his remarkable service to the NACCC: serving as NAPF Co-Director, on the Commission on Youth, Division for Ministry, Annual Meeting Program Committee, CFTS, Vitality Ministry Council, Plymouth 400 Task Team, and two Executive Director Search Committees. Tom participated in various roles for the Michigan Conference, Cal-West Association, Iowa-Nebraska Association, and the International Congregational Fellowship. He ministered in education and youth with the First Congregational Church of Greenville, MI and First Congregational Church of Los Angeles, CA, as Associate Minister of Plymouth Congregational Church in Lansing, MI, and with his spouse Wendy as Co-Pastor of the First Congregational Church of Spencer, IA.
On behalf of the member churches of the NACCC, the Board of Directors congratulates Tom, and we offer our appreciation for his service and leadership in the Congregational Way.

Foundation Update
Laura Hamby, President, Congregational Foundation Board of Governors
|
First, on behalf of the Foundation, thank you to each person who attended and made the virtual Annual Meeting and Conference, effective, meaningful, and personal!
As the new fiscal year unfolds, we have several board changes to share. Rick Bauzenberger, board member since 2015, retired from the Board of Governors. Rick has been the treasurer and valued member of the board, and we thank him for his untiring dedication and work. We are pleased to welcome Sandy Leonard to the board. A lifelong Congregationalist, Sandy is a member of Riverpoint Congregational Church, West Warwick, RI, where she currently serves as a deacon and secretary/treasurer.
We also thank Michael Chittum for his leadership as the Executive Director of the NACCC and CF. Our congratulations to immediate past CF President, Ashley Cleere, Executive Director of the NACCC and CF.
Please visit the CF webpage to meet our current board members and learn more about the work of the Foundation.
