Summer Camping Programs In Full Swing

Head to Medora for Fun and Service

Troop leaders and Scouts can have fun at Medora this summer for FREE, in exchange for helping with service projects while there. For more information click here. Sessions that are still available:

  • Session 15 (July 28-31)
  • Session 21 (Aug 18-21)
  • Session 24-27 (Aug & Sept dates)
Family Fun at a Baseball Game - Scouting Style!

We have partnered with local baseball teams to offer special ticket options for Scouts and their family members. This is a great opportunity to watch some baseball and spend some time with the family and your Scouting friends. More information here or click on a link below.

Youth and Adults Attending Training at NYLT and Wood Badge

The council is hosting two premier training courses for youth and adults this summer.
NYLT

In July & August, there will be a National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) course held in Fargo for youth leaders. That course has filled up, but there is a waiting list in case a vacancy becomes available. For more information about the NYLT course, Click Here.
Wood Badge

In September & October, adult leaders will be able to participate in the Wood Badge course being held at Camp Grassick. There are still spots available for this course and financial assistance is available.

Popcorn Key Leader Briefings Scheduled for Early August

Units can earn an extra 2% commission for 2021 sales by having the Unit Popcorn Kernel participate in one of the Key Leader Briefings along with the either the Unit Committee Chair (CC), Cubmaster (CM) or Scoutmaster (SM).

  • Unit Kernel + one other leader registered in the unit as CC, CM or SM are required to participate - other leaders don't meet the requirement for the extra commission.

Tuesday, August 10 - Center for Scouting in Fargo or by webinar

Thursday, August 12 - Scout Office in Grand Forks or by webinar



All in-person Key Leader Briefings and webinars will be conducted from 7 - 8 pm.
