FHWA Transportation Grant Opportunity Announced
The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) released a grant notice titled "Advanced Transportation and Congestion Management Technologies Deployment Initiative". The grant is currently active and will remain open until the end of August. For more information or to apply, click here.
Survey for Lawrence Parks and Recreation Plan
The City of Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department is updating their master plan and seeking survey responses. The plan will identify projects and programs for improving the City's public recreational opportunities. The plan is updated every five years in order to keep the document relevant to the community. Food in Transit
Growing Places Indy has partnered with IndyGo to provide affordable produce through the Food in Transit program. The Food in Transit farm stand started on July 1 and will run every Wednesday from 2-5 p.m. through October at the transit center. This program provides fresh, affordable, and locally-grown produce to current and future transit riders. Learn more about Food in Transit here.
Carmel Bans Bicycles on Main Street Sidewalk
The City of Carmel passed an ordinance that banned bicycles on the sidewalk of Main Street between 1st and 4th Ave. The ordinance came after residents voiced safety concerns for outdoor dining areas with bicyclists also coming through. For more information, click here.
