Fifteenth Sunday in Ordinary time
July 12, 2020
Dear Friends,

Greetings from Fr. Saju and Fr. Gener! Our prayers are with each and every one of you as we journey through these challenging times.

We would like to share with you some good news. First of all, our elect and candidates who have been preparing for the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and First Holy Communion will be celebrating these sacraments on Sunday, July 19. We look forward to these celebrations. We congratulate them and thank their sponsors. The entire RCIA team who walked with them also deserves our appreciation and gratitude. Please keep them all in your prayers.

More good news, .... the majority of our children and youth who have been preparing for First Holy Communion and Confirmation will also begin celebrating their sacraments this weekend. Keeping in mind the safety and well being of all, we have spread out the celebrations over the next couple of weeks. We congratulate these children, their parents and sponsors. Some of the parents, after prayerful consideration, have decided to celebrate the sacraments of their children next year. We respect their decision and look forward to walking with them.

The State Department of Public Health on Tuesday, July 7, approved Santa Clara County’s proposed order establishing a long term framework for living with the Coronavirus. Effective Monday, July 13, the new order expands the maximum number of participants in outdoor gatherings to 60. All must wear a face covering and maintain a physical distance of at least six feet apart. Additional guidance on gatherings will be forthcoming from County Public Health. The Diocese of San Jose and our parish will follow these guidelines.

Sunday Masses will continue to be in the school courtyard at 8.30 AM, 9.30 AM and 10.30 AM. This weekend there will be 25 spots for each Mass. However, starting from July 19, Mass sign ups will be open to 60 people per Mass. You can sign up to attend Mass by CLICKING HERE

After the live-streaming of the Saturday Vigil Mass on July 11, there will be an opportunity for Drive Up Holy Communion from 6.15 - 6.45 PM. The entrance for the drive through Communion will be off of O'Connor Dr. with all cars exiting on to Bailey Ave. Priests will be stationed in front of the church. Please wear a face masks and remain in your car. Further instructions will be communicated as you enter. This will be the last weekend that we will have "Drive Up Communion." However, anyone with health issues are welcome to call and schedule a time to receive Holy Communion.

Thanking you all for your support and praying for God's blessings,

Fr. Saju Joseph & Fr. Gener
