SERMON SERIES
Join us this summer as we welcome pulpit supply pastors to preach at our church. We are excited to hear from these pastors on how they share their love for Jesus!

WEEK 3:   Pastor Emily enjoys the opportunity to preach and lead worship, especially outdoors, where all of our senses are drawn into the Word and Meal we share together! Thanks for the opportunity to be here today, St. Paul!
Emergency Pastoral Care
Until Pastor Sarah starts, Faith Lutheran Church pastors have graciously agreed to assist us. Faith Lutheran has a visitation pastor, Steve Melander (763-218-1865) who will be happy to make emergency visits. In case of other emergency pastoral care concerns, either Pastor Steve or their Senior Pastor John Klawiter (651-399-5184) will be happy to cover during this time of transition. If you are unable to reach their pastor, please contact Melissa at our church office (651-462-5212) or Deanna at their church office (651-464-3323) and they will be able to assist you.
SUNDAY, JULY 21  6:00 PM
The Church Council contracted with Susan Nienaber, a congregational consultant, to help the congregation work through the recent conflict and learn healthier ways of communicating.

Susan has completed meeting with congregational members and will be presenting her findings / recommendations for healing to the congregation on Sunday, July 21 at 6:00 pm in the Sanctuary.
Sunday School Update
Starting in the fall, there will be two changes to our Sunday School. The first noticeable change is that we are moving from the lectionary (weekly lessons) to a rotational (one lesson 4 different ways for 4 weeks) format. This new format will allow us to spend more time on one story and have a lot of fun in the process. For instance, our first story is Creation.

The second major change is that Sunday School will be offered after worship service. Finally, we are hoping to have the kids introduce what they have learned to the congregation from time to time as a way to connect the kids to the rest of the congregation.

HEROES OF ST. PAUL LUTHERAN
On June 26th, Ecumen Assisted Living Homes in North Branch, with help from the North Branch chapters of the American Legion and VFW, dedicated a Wall of Honor to show gratitude to their residents and staff who served this country as members of the Armed Forces. One of these residents is our own Ernie Adamczak, who served in the US Army during the Korean War.

Ernie turned 87 on his last birthday, and has been living at Ecumen for several years now.

A big thank you to Jerry Nelson for visiting Ernie, and providing this information to us.

If you know of someone who should be honored, please let the office administrator know.
