Join me for a visit to New York's "most exciting new building" at the MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY. It was designed by STUDIO GANG, the firm of Chicago-based architect Jeanne Gang. Once inside, you can easily access the countless offerings at AMNH and enjoy some newer ones: DAVIS FAMILY BUTTERFLY VIVARIUM and INVISIBLE WORLDS, a wonderful immersive experience.

VAN GOGH'S CYPRESSES
This stunning small exhibit showcases the artist’s fascination with the unique evergreens he saw during his two years in Arles and St. Remy at the end of his life. Wheat Field with Cypresses and The Starry Night is at the center of 43 works including paintings, drawings, and illuminated letters. Many are on view together for the first time. GEORGIA O’KEEFFE, TO SEE TAKES TIME
On view at the MUSEUM OF MODERN ART, this exhibit focuses on the great American modernist’s lesser known works in charcoal, pencil watercolor and paper. It includes 120 works on paper and eight paintings spanning more than four decades.  www.moma.org

 THE SASSOONS
At the JEWISH MUSEUM until AUGUST 13, the exhibition presents the collection and tells the story of the Sassoon family’s involvement in trade, art collecting, architectural patronage and civic engagement, from the early 1800s through World War II. 120 works are on view including paintings, decorative arts, illuminated manuscripts and Judaica. https://thejewishmuseum.org/
