Arizona State University's (ASU) initiative, Project Humanities, strives to be a leader in local, national and international conversations about the breadth, depth, and value of humanities study and humanist practice and understanding across disciplines and communities. Project Humanities seeks to connect the University and local communities in talking, listening, and connecting.
Every other Saturday, Project Humanities comes to the Campus for their “Humanity 101 in Action,” where intergenerational, multi-professional, and multi-communal individuals, groups, and organizations join together to distribute shoes, clothing, and toiletries to HSC clients experiencing homelessness. This outreach has been possible and successful because of collaboration, volunteerism, and partnerships.
