CONGRATULATIONS TO COMMUNITY PARADE WINNERS!
As determined by the volunteers coordinating the parade for the Chamber of Commerce the top entry, and receiving $100, was the entry from Fur & Feathers 4-H Club of Orcas Island. There were three runners-up: the Volunteer Association of Orcas Fire & Rescue; the Orcas Island Community Church; and the Orcas Island Odd Fellows. Each of those entries received $50 gift cards to Island Market. Island Market was the sponsoring organization for all parade awards.

OIFF DRIVE-IN MOVIES THIS WEEKEND
Friday, July 16 & Saturday, July 17 @ Dusk (9:00pm)- Mount Baker Farm. The Orcas Island Drive-In Cinema presented by the Orcas Island Film Festival will open for two fantastic films. Friday night, July 16’s feature is the 1987 comedy classic, "The Princess Bride.” On Sat. TICKETS GO ON SALE FOR THE WOWZA RAFFLE!
The Orcas Island Historical Society will start selling tickets on Saturday, July 17 for a raffle that could only be described as WOWZA!. First prize: a 2013 Nissan Leaf e-car generously donated by Island E Cars. Two more prizes that all together are a value of $12,000! WOWZA!  Read more...     

PIG ROAST AT THE AMERICAN LEGION
Saturday, July 17. Dinner served from 5-8 pm. Includes pork, applesauce, baked beans, French bread, 4 salad choices, a dessert and a beverage all for $20.00. Everyone is welcome as this is our membership drive. 793 Crescent Beach Drive. Come join the fun and have a great meal!
Saturday, July 24, 6 pm on the Village Green. The Talbott Brothers have earned a large and growing following for their songs consisting of down-to-earth messages that prove to be prevalent in today’s world. Brograss brings their mix of traditional and original bluegrass as a duo with guitar, mandolin, fiddle and voice, and also performs as a quartet adding upright bass and fiddle.

PORT OF ORCAS HOSTS FLY-IN
The Fly-In will be held Friday, August 6 and Saturday, August 7 at the Eastsound Airport. Guests arriving by airplane are welcome to camp ‘under the wing’ in our grass tie-down area. Everyone is invited to the airport to view planes.

ORCAS ROAD CLASSICS CAR SHOW RETURNS!
Saturday August 7, Airport Park, show hours: 10 am-3 pm.
