Sending Gratitude

Thank you St. Mark's! By sharing our fellowship hall with ABCCM for three weeks during their building renovation, we helped over 300 households in need access resources. Thanks for your patience, and thanks be to God for this ministry that we share with our partners at ABCCM! Click the video link to see a special thank you from ABCCM.

Community Fundraiser

My Daddy Taught Me That Fundraiser @ St. Mark’s Lutheran

Saturday, July 26, 11:00am - 3:00pm

St. Mark's Racial Healing Team and WNC Baptist Fellowship Church will be sponsoring a family-friendly fundraiser for the MDTMT Track Team including games, a bouncy house, food, face painting, music, raffle baskets, and bake sale! My Daddy Taught Me That is a local non-profit who mentors the young people of our community. Their founder, Mr. Keynon Lake, will join us on 7/13 during Faith Formation to explain how he started MDTMT.

Calling Bakers!

Can you bake one batch of your favorite sweet treat for the fundraiser? Accepting all cookies, brownies, and cupcakes to sell or whatever else you come up with!! We would ask to have your baked goods at St. Mark's by the morning of Friday, July 25, so we can wrap everything up for the event.

Raffle Baskets Needed!

As a part of our fundraiser, St. Mark's RHT is also in need of folks to donate a basket of goods that can be part of our raffle to raise even more money for the MDTMT Track and Field Team. Are you on a ministry team that would be interested in putting together a basket? Or maybe you and/or your family can donate a basket? You choose the theme of the basket and we'll create the excitement for it!! Raffle baskets can be brought to church this Sunday, but at the latest Friday, 7/25!

Announcements

The Lord's Prayer

During the pandemic we used a chanted version of the Lord's Prayer during online worship. This summer the staff decided to bring it back! If you're not familiar with it, we made a practice video (thanks to Janet for the suggestion).

Choir Accompanist Wanted

The choir is looking for a keyboard player to help out during rehearsals (Thursdays at 7pm) and on Sunday mornings (twice per month). If you know someone who might be interested, please contact Cantor David for more details: cantordavid@stmarkslutheran.net, or call the church office.
