Monon Trail Bridge Set Over 38th Street
The Indianapolis Department of Public Works crews installed a new raised multimodal bridge connecting the Monon Trail above 38th Street. This transportation project, funded by the MPO, will improve pedestrian and bicycle safety by eliminating the crosswalk. Additional future amenities include sidewalks along 38th Street and an Indiana Pacers Bikershare station. Construction is expected to be fully complete in July 2021. View the timelapse here.
146th and Rangeline Open in Hamilton County
Motorists can now access 146th Street via Rangeline Road. Hamilton County officials hosted a ribbon-cutting Tuesday morning to mark the opening of the second phase of the Lowe’s Way extension project, which received funding from the MPO. The project also includes a new bridge over Cool Creek and the Hagan-Burke Trail. Learn more about the project here .
