  • Program opens Monday, July 20th and closes Friday, August 21st 
  • $3M Available: EV School Bus funded at 100%, Ultra Low-NOx Propane Bus funded at 50%
  • No restrictions on requested number of replacement projects
  • Funding will be assigned using round robin style (one bus at a time, following the application date stamps of complete applications) until funds are exhausted
  • All Sacramento County School Districts qualify for this funding

The purpose of this solicitation is to provide CEC cost-share funding for applicants who apply for and receive an award under an eligible federal Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) and meet the requirements of this solicitation.

California Clean Fuel Reward Program


CARB has initiated the Clean Fuel Reward Program for commercial vehicle buyers (public or governmental agencies, businesses, and/or nonprofit organizations) who purchase or lease eligible new battery-electric vehicle (BEVs) from a participating retailer. The incentives range from $7,500 for Class 2b up to $120,000 for Class 8.

Engine OEMs Addressing DEF Issues


Cummins and PACCAR are updating diesel engine software to give truck operators more time to address certain diesel exhaust fluid system issues before vehicles reach the most restrictive operating limits.

VW Cutting Half Their Product Lineup


Volkswagen’s EV sales internationally dropped 4.2% in Q2 of 2026, but dropped 49% in the US and dropped 35.6% in China causing VW to significantly reduce their product lineup.

CHP 2027 Model Year Police Vehicle Evaluation
