This month we are highlighting our youth ministry. This ministry is headed up by Pastor J Lloyd. This ministry serves middle school and high school-aged youth. They meet Sundays after worship, about 10:20 am, and on Wednesday evenings, 6:30 pm. This is a high-impact Youth Ministry that is geared towards sound biblical teaching and mentoring. The event coming up is our annual Falls Creek Camp. Registrations are open for this camp event. Also, if you have any questions, please reach out to Pastor J at email@example.com.
Every Sunday at 10:00 service, we will be in-person with Bible stories, and other fun activities. Don't miss this opportunity to get together with other kids and celebrate Jesus together! Sign up here or contact Nancy for more information.
Summer is finally here and I’m sure the last few weeks have been crazy at home trying to get school wrapped up. Just wanted to reach out to keep you in the loop as to what is going on at SOGCOG over the coming months. As always, the Parent Connect page is your best one-stop-shop for everything that is going and can be found here:
- Campfire Convos
Starting 7/6 we will add a fun twist to our Tuesday Night Chill by meeting on the church's front lawn from 8-10 pm to hang out around a campfire and share in some culturally relevant conversations, and of course, there will be S’mores!!! Bring your own S’more stick and camp chair and don’t miss this new summertime favorite running through the month of July. WE WILL NOT MEET on 7/20 because SOGCOG will be at Falls Creek……. and your student should be too!!!!!
- Level Up
On 8/1, SOGCOG will welcome in our new 6th graders! I will be hosting a 6th grader breakfast before service so if you know anyone going into 6th grade, be sure to get them connected with me! High School Students will stay in the main service and we will bring over middle school students only for a time to get to know each other a little more as we welcome in our newcomers.

Verse of the week: 1 John 2:6
"He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.”
We are in need of a Facility Manager. This is a part-time position that oversees the building/grounds of COG. Please reach out to Pastor Chris if interested.
Do you play an instrument? Our Worship team is looking for musicians. If you are interested, please reach out to Pastor David or see him in person after service.
Friends and family are you tired of wearing your masks, your vaccinated, and ready to get back to a new normal? Don’t throw your cloth masks away. Our international medical team will require people in the villages to wear the masks when they visit. Many do not have masks. If you have any unwanted cloth facemasks, gattors, or unused surgical masks, please place in collection bin in foyer.

We will have Baptism Sunday on August 22 at 5:30 pm. Right after the baptism, we will have a potluck dinner and cookout and enjoy fellowship with each other. See below for all the details.
What is being baptized all about? Being baptized is an outward expression of an inward commitment to Jesus. If you have given your life to Jesus at some point in your life and have not been baptized since that decision, it is a great way to express your commitment to Jesus. You can sign up for the baptism at the Get Connected table in the sanctuary. If you have questions email Pastor Joel.
For the dinner, we will have grilled hamburgers and hotdogs. COG will also provide the plates, utensils, condiments, water, and lemonade. We are asking you to bring a dessert or side dish depending on what your last name begins with; side dish is A-M and desserts are O-Z. Feel free to bring your own lawn chairs. We will have tables set up to use as needed.
