HSC Grateful for Corporate Volunteers

APS, Blue Cross Blue Shield Lend a Helping Hand at the Campus

On July 12th, 25 Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona employees, armed with wagons full of ice cold water bottles and other heat relief items, followed the usual daily route that HSC's Supportive Services Team takes on Campus, ensuring folks stay safe and hydrated in the elevated temps this July. The Campus is going through well over 100,00 bottles of water per month as we approach a record number of consecutive days above 110 degrees.  Thank you so much Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona!

On July 14th, Arizona Public Services (APS) leadership cohort brought 20 volunteer employees to the Campus. They helped pass out nearly 300 bottles of water and 180 electrolyte packets in less than 1/2 hour. They then assisted in sorting through hygiene kits to deliver much needed shampoo to our Fresh Start Shower program. Their day of service ended with a meaningful Q&A session on the cause and effects of homelessness in the area. Thank you so much APS Leadership!
