ADA 27 Access for All

Walgreens Sets a Great Example in Employment

Walgreens has a strong commitment to a fully inclusive work environment which includes hiring and training for people with disabilities. Industry leading inclusive policies and practices, known as "same job, same performance" operating model, continue to influence who they employ and how they operate. More than 1,300 individuals with disabilities have completed retail and customer service skills training in Walgreens stores across the country. The Senate-proposed Healthcare Bill

The Senate released their updated proposed version of the national healthcare act last week and the National Council for Independent Living (NCIL) is vowing that "the fight is not over." Follow this link to read NCIL's analysis of how the proposed Bill would effect people with disabilities and the action you can take before the Bill is voted on.
