Energy Florida/Energy Florida Consulting has partnered up with German consulting firm.  EF/EFC announces it has entered into an international agreement with adMONDO, whereby both business organizations will provide consulting services related to international business opportunities. Energy Florida's executive director, Mike Aller, was a featured panelist at TurboExpo 2017, the premier international technical conference on gas turbine design and engineering for energy and aviation applicationsMike was featured during a keynote panel on “Disruptive Technologies and Accelerating Innovation in Gas Turbines”, and outlined the partnerships and progress achieved by the CAPE (Consortium for Advanced Production and Engineering of Gas Turbines) and its partners. With more than 4,000 attendees annually, TurboExpo is the premier international technical conference on gas turbine design and engineering for power (energy) and propulsion (aviation) applications. Henriette Schoen is hired as the new Director of Program Development for EFC and is focused on developing the new program and the team. Three new very experienced consultants have just joined the team in the recent weeks, Robert Burrows, Entrepreneur in Residence; Rory McEllin, Renewable Energy Specialist; and John Van Zyl, Strategic Sourcing Consulting Manager.

The Florida Renewable Energy Systems and Sustainability Conference will be held July 31 - Aug 1, 2017 at the Florida Polytechnic University in Lakeland, FL. Florida By The Numbers June 2017 by Dr. Jerry Perrish, Chief Economist and Director of Research, Florida Chamber Foundation.
Dr. Perrish goes through all the important numbers for Florida's economy and shows how the economy has been diversifying over the years. Manufacturing has been gaining 3% jobs over the years.
Here are 18 interesting maps that demonstrate various US Census data, and here the "Highest Value Export Good" per state map is chosen to be illustrated, while it is showing that Aircrafts are the biggest export good from Florida. Other interesting facts are that the biggest import good in FL is Gold, and that Publix Super Markets are the biggest fortune 1000 company in FL.

The Analysis Group has June 2017 written an independent report about Electricity Markets, Reliability and the Evolving U.S. Power System  This report reviews the causes of a changing electricity resource mix in the U.S., and the impact of those changes on electric power system reliability. It is important to view the evolving mix of technologies, market incentives and policy goals in the electric industry against the longstanding framework of federal, regional, state and utility requirements and procedures to ensure the maintenance of a reliable and secure power grid at all times. 
Unmanned systems represent a challenging new frontier in technology, enabling humans to see and go places hostile to human presence, as well as taking humans “out of the equation” for tasks that are either demanding, tedious, or both, such as inspecting difficult-to-access infrastructure, or surveying and mapping large areas of land. Autonomous systems also hold the promise of relieving humans of tasks that are dangerous simply because people don’t do them very well, such as driving. Read more here.

Dutch innovative company, Dr. Ten, focused on saving energy when creating ice-skating rinks - has developed new plastic mats that simulate ice and a special coating that makes the surface even more durable.
