Tisha B'Av
Sunday, July 22 at 6:30 PM

Tisha B’Av (the 9th day of Av) is traditionally a day of mourning and remembrance, and the close of Tisha B’Av serves to kindle hope for a new era. Join Rabbi Juliana Karol as we end this day with worship and discussion.

Shema Koleinu: Poetry of the High Holy Days

Join Rabbi Karol in exploring the poetry of our High Holy Day machzor, Mishkan HaNefesh . Our new Reform liturgy uses contemporary and ancient verse to help us connect into the themes of our  Yamim Nora’im . During two sessions, we will dive into texts that enrich and deepen our worship during Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

Do you care about someone with Dementia? Join Rabbi Karol and Rabbi Michael Goldman, founder of  Seivah: Life Beyond Memory , for a community gathering with music, light nosh, and fun activities. We’ll sing, connect, and share joy together in a loving, Jewish environment. Those with Dementia and their loved ones/caretakers are welcome.

The Roll of Remembrance Book, given to worshippers at the Memorial Service on Yom Kippur, constitutes an acknowledgement of our ongoing relationships with those who have passed away. 
 
If you would like the name(s) of your loved one(s) to be included in this year’s Roll of Remembrance, please choose from one of the three options listed below by  August 3, 2018.
  • Return the form that was mailed to you with information about the High Holy Days.
  • Call the Development Office at 646-454-3052 or email your names of your loved ones to remembrance@crsnyc.org.
  • Click here to list your loved ones’ names and make a gift online.
