Ian Ray Mitchell grew up in Lakewood, Colorado and attended Green Mountain High School. At the age of 16, after winning multiple National Championships, Mr. Mitchell won the first Jr. World Championship in Taekwondo in 1989. The sport being his passion, he graduated early from high school to take up residence at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado and became the runner up at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials in 1992.
A native Coloradan, he obtained both his Bachelors of Arts Degree in Political Science and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Colorado in Boulder. Mr. Mitchell began his career in Insurance Defense and Litigation in 2003 and joined Pollart Miller in 2007. Mr. Mitchell's practice includes bad faith defense, general tort defense and complex workers' compensation subrogation.
When not pursuing our clients' interests in both State and Federal Court, Mr. Mitchell enjoys time with his wife and two children, fly fishing the entirety of the Platte River throughout the year and attending bluegrass music festivals across the country.
