Presidents Message

Welcome to your National CAMA e-newsletter.

The industry that we’re all passionate about continues to go through some “interesting” times this summer and many of our members are directly affected. With on-going trade issues, and marketing and weather challenges across the county, every link in Canada’s food system is being affected. There’s never been a better time to be a member of CAMA; agri-marketers tend to look beyond their specific silo, allowing us to work collaboratively and support each other . Login to the website to see a full national membership list or filter down to a province.

If there are specific needs you believe CAMA can help with, please let me know or see below for the new provincial board directors , and speak with them.

Our colleagues at CAMA Ontario continue to plan and prepare for a great BEST of CAMA this November. Entry categories have been updated again to reflect our ever-changing industry. And to pick the winners, each year CAMA engages with some of the country’s most experienced agri-marketers. If you, or someone you know, either a member or not, is qualified to be a judge , see the details below.

And finally, this year’s student CABEF winners have been announced. Deserving students from across the country have been awarded scholarships as they begin their post secondary education. These students are awarded scholarships due to the generosity of members and the hard work of the CABEF board. See the full list below.

Continue enjoying the summer as we look forward to fall harvest.

National Chair

From the desk for Mary Thornley,
CAMA Executive Director
I'd like to send a huge thank you to all the CAMA board of directors who volunteer their time to CAMA. There is a lot of behind the scenes work to plan and organize events that are of interest to our members and it's the board members that continue to generate those great ideas for our events.

Thank you to the new board members who have joined this year. We look forward to your new ideas and input. It's a promising sign to see the interest from members to join the CAMA boards and I'm confident CAMA will continue to grow and develop throughout the year.
