that you don't want to miss!
Welcome home, Veronica & family!
A dedication ceremony was held at the Perryville house built by Cecil County School of Technology students and completed by Habitat Susquehanna volunteers (see photo album on our Facebook page).

Habitat AmeriCorps members Cody Steward and Shelby Tittle (at right) hand the house key over to homebuyer Veronica. It was the last event Cody and Shelby participated in before the end of their year of service with Habitat AmeriCorps (see related article further below).
This is the second time Habitat for Humanity Susquehanna has partnered with the Cecil County School of Technology (CCST). (The first time was in 2011 for a house that was sold by CCST to Habitat Susquehanna and moved to its permanent location in Elkton.) The CCST students built Veronica's house and Habitat volunteers (including homebuyer Veronica who performed "sweat equity" hours there) completed its construction. A big thanks to the following major house sponsors: CCST, Community Legacy Program, Maryland Affordable Housing Trust, ODEC-Wildcat Point Generation Facility, State of Maryland, USDA, and VLT Cecil County. Additional contributors included Sandra Barstow, Gutter Guys, Hollywood Casino, Betty & Steve Hunter, Wicho & Sons LLC, and The Greene Turtle.
