Patrick O'Brian Book Group
Every Tuesday, starting July 9th, 1:00-4:00pm, Trustees Room
You are invited to join the avid readers who have discovered the delights of Patrick O'Brian's historic novels that began with Master and Commander

This July, we will read The Surgeon's Mate (paperback, W.W. Norton 1982 edition, ISBN 0-393-30820 or any edition with 382 pages), the sixth book in the series. This story joins our characters as they escape their captivity in Boston, where they had been loosely imprisoned following the battle between USS CONSTITUTION and HMS JAVA off the coast of Brazil. Spying, intrigue, a troubled ongoing romance, the politics of the day, and a sailing pursuit across the Grand Banks are woven into a delicious reading tapestry. Each book stands alone well, so newcomers won't miss out by joining us further in the series. Please join us!

Starting this summer, keep an eye out for this little red cart at Grinnell's Beach, which is a registered Little Free Library!

A Little Free Library is a free book exchange. It belongs to everyone, and everyone can use it. If you see a book you would like to read, take it. Then return it or pass it on. It's up to everyone to keep the cart full of great reads - bring books to share when you can.

This Little Free Library cart has been provided by the Friends of Tiverton Libraries and is supported by the Tiverton Public Library, The Grinnell's Beach Improvement Committee, the Tiverton Recreation Department, and the residents of Tiverton.
