Re-Think! Corporate Training
Continuing Studies provides a variety of learning opportunities in the areas of Business & Leadership, Trades & Industry, and Community programming, both in-person and online delivery. However, what happens when organizations don’t know exactly what training they need, or require something different than what we have posted in our catalogue – they may be looking at something more in the realm of Corporate Training.

Corporate Training works with clients in a collaborative, consultative approach to uncover the true learning goals of the organization and develop training solutions geared towards obtaining optimal performance with measurable results.

As an example, in consultations with the JBS executive leadership team and corporate training staff, we have delivered two certificate programs focused on management/leadership and lean practices for JBS Foods International, the world’s second largest producer of food and the single largest employer in Brooks. The Brooks plant represents 4% of global production, with over 2600 employees, 120 countries represented, 66 different languages and 80 different dialects. The size and diversity of the workplace presents some unique challenges for training and retention of their workforce.

Through this initiative, we have been able to provide tremendous value to our client. Training is provided throughout the workforce engaging all levels of employees to achieve buy-in across the organization. These programs have allowed JBS employees the opportunity to enhance their skill-sets and improve their opportunities to move up within the organization. The training sessions have become so popular, employees are now inquiring & applying up to a year in advance, for an opportunity be accepted into the programs. In the last two weeks of March, JBS implemented 96 new health & safety protocols in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The ability to act quickly and respond in advance proactively, allowed them to fair far better than other food producers that had to completely shut down line production for a period of time.
