Sue Brown "Aunt Sue" Retires
Sue has been a member of the MBM team for over 30 years. As one of MBM's longest employees, Sue has seen the growth and transformation of the company.
She can remember when the office was located in a one-room basement of a hair salon in Dormont. Now, she says her current office is as big as the entire office used to be. Over the years Sue wore many hats. She was responsible for all aspects of payroll, accounts payable, and was MBM's unofficial in-house Chef and Baker. She shared her culinary talents with the MBM team as she prepared lunch most days for the employees and brought in tasty desserts
. We are very happy for Sue but will miss her dearly!

What aspects of your internship have you enjoyed the most?
I've enjoyed getting to know everyone in the office, all of whom have been very welcoming and helpful since day 1. I have also enjoyed learning the ins and outs of construction in all departments such as marketing, accounting, estimating, etc. I am excited to continue working in the marketing department, particularly helping to revamp social media.
What was your favorite vacation?
My graduation present was a trip to Paris and Madrid 2 years ago. My mom and I went on a girl's trip and spent almost a month overseas seeing family and friends. My vacation highlights include watching France win the World Cup on the Champ de Mars in front of the Eiffel Tower and going clubbing in Madrid!
What are you most looking forward to in the next 10 years?
I am looking forward to graduating in a couple of years and staying in Pittsburgh for a few years after that. I'm also looking forward to traveling, having a job that I love, and hope to move to Chicago one day.
Tell us three things most people don't know about you...

Executive Director
Roger has a background in clinical nursing and a Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration from Ohio University. One of his guiding principles throughout his career has been to serve the Senior populations, which he has been doing for over 25 years. As the Executive Director of Asbury Heights, Roger has full oversight over operations of a 400+ bed Continuing Care Retirement Community. Serving in this, and other capacities over the years, has allowed him to help mold the future of Senior care services. Outside of work, Roger lives on a fully operational farm with his wife and two daughters, and raises several different varieties of animals. His wife is a small business owner while his oldest daughter is in college and his youngest daughter is a senior in high school. Both of his daughters are avid equestrians and they have several horses on the farm. For Roger, family and farming go hand-in-hand in his life.
What was your experience like working with MBM?
MBM is always simple to work with. Thoughts, plans, and suggestions are openly communicated to help produce a quality product. The MBM teams are always professional and very detail-oriented.
Why did you decide to do the work you are doing now?
My family has been serving the healthcare needs of others for generations. I have followed this rewarding path and have never looked back.
Where is the most interesting place you've been?
The most interesting place I have ever been was in the jungles of South Africa as a teenager. As an adult, I love to take my family to anywhere in the Caribbean.
What are three things most people don't know about you...
I live on a farm, I am extremely family oriented and driven, and I truly love what I do professionally and personally.

Seven years ago Mike Fraser was in a swimming accident which left him paralyzed. Building an accessible deck onto his home was something he needed especially during isolation. MBM Carpenters didn't hesitate to jump in and volunteer their time to build Mike this awesome deck.
