Rescuing Golden Retrievers & Golden Retriever Mixes Since 2003
JULY 2020
A Message from the President and Founder, Lauren Genkinger
I hope each and everyone of you are healthy and staying safe during this pandemic which seems to never end. Thankfully, many of you have goldens in your life to keep you happy during these unprecedented times. We have brought in quite a few goldens with a host of medical problems and as always, we can't thank you enough for your continued financial support. Without your generosity, these wonderful dogs wouldn't have a chance; so please know that because of you they are able to live a happier, healthier life!

I'd also like to thank all the people who are applying to adopt a dog. With everyone staying at home these days, it's no surprise that their thought turns towards adopting a golden. Unfortunately, the amount of applications has been overwhelming to our Applications Team and it may take 4-6 weeks to process your application. AGA has never seen this amount of applications in such a short amount of time and we greatly appreciate your patience. Our goal is always to find the right dog for the right family!

We will keep you posted as to when we will resume our Meet & Match Day (FKA Adoption Day). With the Coronavirus still running rampant, the safety and health of everyone is our number one priority.

With great appreciation,
VIRTUAL MEET & MATCH
We continue to find new homes for our orphans during this pandemic. We have set up meetings outside for those who feel comfortable with that or we can do a virtual meeting.

If you have been approved and are interested
in a meeting, please email info@adoptagoldenatlanta.com and we will forward it to the correct person. Please don't email if you have not been approved yet.
UPDATE ON SOME SPECIAL ORPHANS
Mufasa (now Moose)
Moose came to us with a pretty severe skin infection. When he came in, we all couldn't wait to see his transformation. WOW, no one could have imagined how handsome this boy really is. Thank you to everyone that helped with this transformation and congratulations to Moose for finding such a great home!
Juno
Sweet Juno came to us from a shelter in pretty bad shape. Our vet said it's the worst case of Heartworm she's ever seen. Through all of this, he continues to wag his tail. Juno had a little set back this past week but with it came a bit of good news, his mass that was found is not cancer. Now it's time to work on those Heartworms!
