“In the Marianist Family, a tradition of prayer exists. In it we teach, and we learn to pray, and in it we are enriched and make progress in prayer. The family is composed of a group of believers and prayers. We have a vibrant tradition of prayer...which must be cared for and shared because it is the heart of our best Marianist traditio n." ( Enfleshing the Word , Enrique Aguilera, SM, and José María Arnaiz, SM, p. 33)
The decision to have the topic for MSP 2.0 2020/21 be Marianist Prayer: Listening, Pondering, and Responding was made months before Covid-19 and this moment of social change. The gift of Marianist Prayer to the church and world is more relevant and needed than ever. Join us as we explore how Marianist Prayer can guide us in this ever-changing landscape in which we find ourselves as people of faith. For more information or to apply click here. Feel free to contact Patti Gehred gehredp1@udayton.edu with any questions.

Sister Gabby interviewed Sister Columba Yu, FMI, in December 2019 while she was visiting the United States. In this podcast, Sister Columba shares her story of being a missionary, becoming a Marianist Sister, and what her reaction was when she was first asked by the Sisters to go to India 13 years ago. You've been receiving lots of promotions for our upcoming MSP 2.0 but we are still working with our current cohort of participants finalizing their Marianist Stability: Rooted Presence projects. In normal years we gather together for an in-person June Workshop after nine months of online meetings. When it became apparent that we needed to offer this workshop virtually we wondered if it would be possible to recreate our usual gathering of research, prayer, and community building. Using Slack as a means to be available for answering questions and sharing resource materials in the mornings and gathering via Zoom for prayer, programming, and presentations in the afternoons we ended the workshop feeling energized, edified, and more connected as a scholarly community. When we began our journey together in September of 2019 we couldn't imagine how important our topic Marianist Stability: Rooted Presence would be during this time of pandemic and social change in the summer of 2020. We look forward to sharing the completed projects in the coming weeks and months.
Let Your Light Shine
As the sun rises, Lord, Let your light shine on me. Destroy the darkness about me, Scatter the darkness before me, Disperse the darkness behind me, Dispel the darkness within me. Let your light shine on me. As the sun rises, Lord, Let your light shine on me. The warmth of your Presence, The brightness of your love, The radiance of your joy, The shining of your hope. Let your light shine on me. As the sun rises, Lord, Let your light shine on me. Your light to guide, Your light to lead, Your light to direct, Your light to brighten. Let your light shine on me.
Amen
