JULY 2020
Your Monthly News & Updates

Greetings NTMCA Members!
I hope you and your family are staying safe during the pandemic. It still feels strange to celebrate different milestones and occasions while social distancing. I hope you enjoyed the 4th of July, watching fireworks from home or on television, which is so different from our normal outdoor celebrations, but we are all in this together and together we are helping curve the outbreak. Please take a moment to remember the many blessings of living in a free country and those who fought for our freedoms.

As you consider your budget (whether you prepare it or provide input), we as a Board wanted to remind everyone that one of the biggest benefits of joining NTMCA is the networking benefit. Networking strengthens your business relationships, provides you with different perspective and ideas, helps you make connections, gives you an opportunity to help others, provides you with motivation when needed, inspires you to greater accomplishments, and even provides friendships. So, I hope joining NTMCA is included in your budge next year!
Our annual awards luncheon was a great success. Many thanks to Alicia Richardson, Traci Henderson and Lisandra Leal for all the time they took planning and hosting the event and assuring social distancing was accommodated. The Grand Hall at NRH Centre was a perfect place to host, the venue was beautiful, and the food was amazing. Mayor Pro Tem Scott Turnage welcomed chapter to North Richland Hills.

I was presented the NTMCA Clerk of the Year award and Alicia Richardson (North Richland Hills) was nominated for the TMCA Clerk of the Year award. Alicia has been a longtime volunteer, a mentor and huge advocate for our profession. We are fortunate to have her as a member of our chapter. She is constantly giving back to the association and supporting her
fellow clerks and willing to step up and serve. She served as chair of the Alyce Deering Scholarship Committee this year. Thank you, Alicia! We all thrive because of the efforts of our dedicated members. On top of all our work and home obligations, our Committee members find the time to contribute to our Chapter in a meaningful way. Our Chapter would not exist without the hard work and contributions of our Committee members. During the awards luncheon, we recognized the following Committees and members:
