The restaurant, which has two location in St. Petersburg and Berlin, Germany, was founded by Michael Sponaugle, who teamed up with industry vet Jeff Grosser, along with  KYU’s  Michael Lewis and Steven Haigh, to bring the eatery to Miami in the former  Laid Fresh  space."

The new South Beach restaurant 100 x 35 Cocina Con Bíces (520 West Avenue) gets its name from the measurements of the island of Puerto Rico: 100 miles wide x 35 miles height. The brainchild of Carlos Rodriguez and chefs Luis Vazquez and Emmanuel Jimenez, the 150-seat restaurant serves an extensive menu of Puerto Rican dishes like mofongo, fried snapper, pork chops, bacalaitos (cod fritters), sorullitos de maiz (cornmeal fritters), and alcapurrias, alongside Caribbean-inspired cocktails.
