Learning Pays Off for Class of 2020

Many students graduate from a university with huge student loan debt or have to limit their education in order to keep a lid on costs. Scholarships allow students to focus on their careers instead of worrying about how they will repay student loans. By removing financial barriers, scholarships make education and career goals easier to achieve.

Counselors at each high school work hard to assist students as they apply for scholarships. We are proud of the scholarship monies awarded to Class of 2020 graduates HERE .

A Seamless Shift to Online Learning

Reports of a new virus emerging in China, spreading through Europe, eventually hitting home in Wisconsin seemed like a distant bell that soon became a gong.

When asked what the future holds, Dr. Marty Lexmond is reflective. “By May, some districts had not even started working with their students. We were connected from the start. As we move forward, we’ll continue to respond to COVID-19. We’re prepared to help students learn whether they’re at home or at school. And we’ll do everything we can to ensure our students stay on track and life ready when they graduate. We face challenges together even if we’re apart.” Read more...

Connie Bergmann Named Interim Principal at West Milwaukee Intermediate School

We are pleased to announce that Mrs.Connie Bergmann has been approved by the Board of Education as the new principal of West Milwaukee Intermediate School.

After we completed initial interviews of qualified applicants for this position, we did not identify any candidates that we felt confident would be the right fit for West Milwaukee Intermediate School at this time. In similar situations in the past, and given how important it is to have leadership identified as we plan for the fall, we considered current administrators for this position. Given that Mrs. Bergmann knows the school well and is an experienced and highly regarded administrator in our district, we feel she is the right person for the principal role. Skyward Student Information System
Skyward is the tool that helps parents view student schedules, attendance, and grade reports while logged in on any personal device! We ask that parents access Skyward to track their child’s progress in school (we only print paper records upon request).

It also allows for increased communication with teachers. It is very important that parents maintain accurate telephone numbers and email addresses on Skyward.
