SHIP 2020-21 coverage ends on July 31 and for graduating seniors, it's important to know your insurance options. The ending of SHIP is considered a qualifying event that opens a 60-day special enrollment period for you to enroll in other insurance plans.

Fall 2021 COVID Guidelines for Students
We have developed COVID-19 guidelines to help UC Berkeley students plan for their arrival to campus in the fall. The guidelines have specific details for those planning to live in on-campus housing, off-campus housing, or coming from abroad.

SHIP Waiver Period Closes on August 15, 2021!
Berkeley SHIP provides comprehensive healthcare coverage to all UC Berkeley students. Coverage for SHIP 2021-22 starts August 1, 2021. If you have comparable health insurance and would like to waive SHIP, this is a reminder that the final deadline to waive is August 15, 2021.


Immunization Requirements for Fall 2021
All incoming and re-admitted students must satisfy the TB screening and immunization requirements as mandated by the UC Office of the President by the established deadline of July 31, 2021. Students must complete the COVID-19 Vaccine requirement by August 4, 2021. For those that still need to meet a TB or immunization requirement when they arrive on campus, UHS can provide them.

Upload your COVID-19 Vaccine Records by August 4, 2021!
Planning to return to the UC Berkeley campus this fall? Remember to upload your COVID-19 vaccine records to the eTang portal by August 4, 2021. All UC faculty, staff, and students who have been vaccinated off-campus are required to upload their records. For those that still need a vaccine when they arrive, UHS will be holding COVID-19 vaccine clinics.
