Summer is just the best.
This summer has been sort of bittersweet. With vaccines being widely available and most places opening up again, there are so many cool things to do, which is awesome. Unfortunately, I had big plans to spend all summer at the beach taking naps and tackling Oprah's list of travel books.

It's like, I'm glad that we can see each other in person again but let's make plans in September.

Speaking of fall, the Global Learning team is hard at work planning all sorts of events for when campus reopens. We're going to have a ton of ways for you to learn how you can enhance your college experience with global learning. If you're thinking about studying abroad or away in 2022, you don't have to wait until fall to start planning. Schedule an appointment with one of our incredible advisors today!

UCSC-APRU Virtual Student Exchange
Take classes online from universities across the globe!
The Virtual Student Exchange (VSE) Program provides UCSC students with the opportunity to enroll in one online academic course offered by a participating APRU member institution, as a complement to their full-time course load taken at UCSC.

This is a fantastic opportunity to experience a global university and earn UC credit without needing to travel internationally!

The best part?

There are no application fees, no additional tuition costs at this time, and any course taken as part of the VSE Program is awarded UC credit.

Join Global Learning on Discord!

Camille Cheng
Hi, my name is Camille Cheng. I’m a Feminist Studies and Legal Studies double major. I studied abroad for three consecutive summers in Paris, Hong Kong, and London...

Who Am I Abroad (WHOA) is a student series of videos and articles exploring the shifts in perception of the self while abroad or away. The purpose of these stories is to highlight the international and domestic experiences of students and staff in relation to their salient identities.

If you would like to be connected with a study abroad alum who has participated in your program or country of interest and shares your identity, please submit the Connect with Alumni Request Form, and we'll follow up with you by email.

The Program Explorer is a great place to start if you need a space to brainstorm ideas and create a wishlist.

To access the Program Explorer, you must be signed in to SlugsAbroad and have completed your Study Abroad Profile.
