July Greetings!
Hello All --

Summer is here and it is HOT! I hope you are staying safe and enjoying reconnecting with those you may not have seen for awhile.

Thank you again very much to each of you who are helping with the upcoming Community Yard Sale being hosted by Jackson Street Ambassadors. It's so exciting to have community fundraisers back!

Always Grateful, Hannah & the Jackson Street Team

Albany House renovation has begun!

After many years of planning and hard work, we are breaking ground on the Albany House renovation this month! The updates will increase safety and ensure a beautiful and welcoming space for all youth. A couple of highlights include adding bedrooms and bathrooms to increase capacity from 10 to 16 youth and to have a more open common space for their activities, homework, and relaxation.

Albany and Linn County youth in need of shelter services will be able to access our Corvallis House shelter until the renovation is complete (expected July - December).
The Uprise campaign is launching!

Last year, in the midst of COVID, a 13-year old named Quinlan sold his sheep at the Benton County 4H auction and then donated $675 of his earnings to Jackson Street. This generosity sparked a local business to write a check for $10,000, and is now inspiring many others to rise up together to complete the purchase and renovation of Jackson Street’s Albany House (pictured above).

The total cost of the project is estimated at $890,000, and thanks to the contributions of many we are well on our way to reaching this goal. You are invited to participate in this summer’s community fundraiser for homeless and at-risk youth. Sign up as an individual, group, or team to help raise money for this project!

Summer Fun at Jackson Street
Here's a quick visual highlight of our summer so far!

1) RIVER SNORKELING! We're partnering with the Calapooia Watershed Council for several river snorkeling adventures this summer and the youth are SO EXCITED! They've explored the Calapooia and Santiam Rivers so far.

2) We hosted our first booth event in SO LONG -- at Albany Pride! Our Youth Ambassadors even got to meet Cesar the No Drama Lama =)

3) The heat wave called for some serious WATER FIGHTS!! Making the most of it :)
Community Fundraisers & Other Ways to Give
The Oregon Futbol Alliance gave Jackson Street the featured spot on their soccer jerseys this year. You can buy one for yourself or as a gift. 50% of proceeds come to us!

Caldwell Realty & NoDinx teamed up to make this awesome t-shirts for us to sell at Albany PRIDE this year; they sold out in less than 2 hours!! Back by popular demand, an order link will be available soon. Watch social media and your inbox for details!
Community Fundraisers are a meaningful way businesses and social groups connect and support this work!
