for a book discussion at Scotland Public Library. We are reading and discussing, The Song of the Lark by Willa Cather. Stop by the library to get your copy of the book! If you'd prefer to participate virtually, contact the library for the Zoom link.

Summer Reading

Our summer reading program is in full swing! If you haven't yet registered, stop by the library so we can share our schedule of events with you. You don't want to miss out! We are offering a variety of grab-and-go crafts along with outdoor story times. We even have some fun activities for teens and adults!

The summer reading finale will be announced at a later date!

Story Time

Our weekly story time will resume in the Fall on Thursday mornings.

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

Help your child prepare for school by reading to them everyday. Join the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program at the library.

It's easy:

stop by the library to pick up your packet.
keep a journal of all the books you share with your child
bring in your reading log for a prize to mark each milestone.

Eversource has provided a handy kit that you can borrow and take home to check the efficiency of your appliances. Stop by to get the information you need to save money and energy.

Go to the app store on your device and search for SimplyE. Follow the directions to download the app and then find Scotland Public Library on the list of libraries. You will need your library barcode and your account password and you are ready to enjoy a variety of e-books and audiobooks.
