Dear CIM students,

The summer has brought us pure joy in the form of in-person tunes with beloved students and friends! All the while, we are staying connected with students across the country with virtual lessons. The sum total is an immense sense of gratitude for our growing Irish music community.

Exciting news: We have installed hardwire ethernet connections in each of our classrooms! Throughout the spring and summer, we have been piloting teaching models and gearing up for an expanded, hybrid version of the Center for Irish Music this fall. It is a whole new world, and we are thrilled to have this unique opportunity to connect our wonderful instructors with Irish music learners.

There are some great offerings coming up in July! Our Irish Pub Songs class starts on July 6th. For families with young children, Celtic Cuties instructor Alisa Mee is offering two free Irish Musical Story times in the beautiful Newell Park. Our annual Open House will be on August 29th from 2:00-4:30, and this year folks from the Celtic Junction Arts Center and O'Shea Irish Dance will also be offering class demos and tours of our building. Details for these classes and events are below in this newsletter and on our website.

The Minnesota Irish Music Weekend was a blast. Thanks to everyone who came out for a session, online workshops and the concerts.

Happy 4th of July, and see you at the Irish Fair of Minnesota on August 13-15th!

THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL MIM @ HOME
Thank you to our donors, sponsors, volunteers, teaching artists, and participants for making MIM @ Home an event to remember.

Thanks to your support, 136 students from 15 states, Germany, Japan and Ireland gathered online for workshops and interviews, and virtual concerts reached over 1,470 online viewers throughout the weekend. In-person events were filled with joy as we gathered for the first time after months of separation from music friends. Be sure to take a look at our MIM @ Home photo album on Facebook (and tag yourself and your friends)!

Putting on an event like this takes a huge amount of time and talent. Click here to learn more about all the people who made this year's festival possible.
