Central Alberta Victim & Witness Support Society is excited to announce the launch of "The Road Ahead Campaign"

Funds raised from this $35,000 initiative will be used to directly support victims and witnesses of crime and tragedy throughout Central Alberta and assist in bridging the gap from hurt to hope for those facing a difficult journey ahead.

Our highly trained and dedicated staff and advocates are available 24/7, 365 days a year to ensure victims and witnesses do not have to face their journey alone - with professional and compassionate provision of direct support, information, referral and education.

CAVWSS would like to extend a sincere and heartfelt thank-you to Bronze Sponsor, FortisAlberta and Supporting Sponsor, Sanjel Energy for their generous contributions and for paving the way for The Road Ahead Campaign with $3500!

Alberta Jobs Now program
Businesses and non-profits can apply for funding to reduce the cost of hiring and training Albertans for new jobs.
Overview
The Alberta Jobs Now program will provide up to $370 million to help private and non-profit businesses with job supports to get thousands of Albertans back to work.
Employers can apply for funding to offset the cost of hiring and training unemployed or underemployed Albertans in new or vacant positions.
This federal-provincial investment is the largest job training program in Alberta’s history. It will support our province’s recovery, help businesses re-open or grow their workforce, and give Albertans an opportunity to gain the skills they need in today’s job market.
Regional Relief and Recovery Fund (RRRF)

The Government of Canada and Community Futures organizations (CFs) understand the difficulties the COVID-19 pandemic has caused the small business community throughout the West. As a result, the Government of Canada has made funds available to the CFs to provide support and assistance to SMEs through the rural stream of the Regional Relief and Recovery Fund (RRRF).
Small business owners, Not for Profit organizations and Social Enterprises impacted as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic can apply for loans up to $60,000 through the Regional Relief and Recovery Fund (RRRF).
The Regional Relief and Recovery Fund provides funding to support businesses that have not been approved for supports through the Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA) or the Emergency Loan Program delivered through Aboriginal Financial Institutions.
Applications will be accepted until June 30, 2021.
