Strolling Florence

Tuesday, July 19 at 1 pm, Meeting Room, Main Library


Visit Italy without leaving Westwood! A native of Florence will live stream a tour of this beautiful city for you to enjoy. 


Gelato will be served at the end of the program.

The Ukraine War and Vladimir Putin

Monday, July 25 at 1 pm, Meeting Room, Main Library


Henry Quinlan will examine the origins of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the status of the war today, the enigma that is Vladimir Putin, and possible options for ending the combat.

Holidays: The library will be closed on Monday, July 4 for Independence Day.

Hours Update: The library is open 10 am to 1 pm on Saturdays and closed on Sundays until September.

Donation Box for Ukrainian Children

Backpacks of Love is collecting supplies for Ukrainian children. To help, drop off any of the following items, new and unused, in the lobby of the Main Library: 


  • Backpacks 
  • School supplies
  • Small toys
  • Stuffed animals
  • Simple kids books
  • Clothes and shoes
  • Toothbrushes and toothpaste
