ODGA Celebrates One Year Anniversary
The Office of Data Governance and Analytics was officially established by Virginia Code § 2.2-203.2:4 on July 1, 2021. The Office has grown since then to a team of 15 and taken on many data governance and sharing projects.
Virginia Open Data Portal Expands


Calling all Virginia agencies! The Open Data Portal  serves to extend access to Commonwealth of Virginia data empowering our constituents to interpret, analyze, and transform our data into actionable intelligence and is accepting state agency and locality open data. On the Open Data Portal, viewers can view datasets, create visualizations, and export the data.
Next Virginia Data Advisory Commission Meeting
The Virginia Data Advisory Commission will convene on July 19th, 2022. The Commission advises the Office of Data Governance and Analytics on issues related to data sharing, including open data, data analytics, and data governance. The Commission sets, plans, and prioritizes data sharing performance goals for the Commonwealth, reviews agency accomplishments, and recommends solutions that will establish the Commonwealth as a national leader in data-driven policy, evidence-based decision making, and outcome-based performance management.
