We are enrolling the 4th cohort of our acclaimed 10-week global online class, Entrepreneurship for Life Sciences/Healthcare Startups: Master Class Direct from Silicon Valley.  Learn how Silicon Valley starts and nurtures companies and experience our high energy culture. The class is led by UCSF's Entrepreneurship Program and features guest lecturers from Silicon Valley.


We are the only live, open class that is life sciences/healthcare startup focused, has the Silicon Valley mindset and is global in scope.
                                                                                                              
You will be parachuted into the world of Silicon Valley entrepreneurship guided by life sciences/healthcare expert practitioners -- not academics. You will access insider knowledge from CEOs, serial entrepreneurs, investors, pharmaceutical executives, lawyers and consultants on how to build a venture.

Our singular focus on scientific and medical startups differentiates us from other entrepreneurship courses. You will build your startup business knowledge through vetted content and interaction with our lecturers and mentors. Engage with a global network of peers, with alumni from six continents and 24 countries.

2022 Global Ambassadors Appointed

Milena Stoycheva, Cohort 3 alumna, is Bulgaria's new Global Ambassador. Change-maker, entrepreneur, educator and innovator, Milena is passionate about the importance of education and the opportunity for young people to develop their own talent and discover their future as entrepreneurs. She has over 20 years of experience in international organizations and companies, served as Chair of the Global Member Council of JA Worldwide, chairs the Digital Health and Innovation Cluster and serves on expert groups and councils with the EC and OECD. She holds the Women’s Leadership Award from the US Embassy in Bulgaria.
Justin Leushner, Cohort 3 alumnus, has been named Canadian Global Ambassador. Justin is a serial entrepreneur, advisor, investor and strategy consultant specializing in medtech. As a consultant, he provides data and insights to the VC and investment community. He advises Fellows in a university Medical Innovation program and provides feedback and guidance on IP, regulatory, market analysis, prototyping and commercialization plans. He is an Entrepreneur-in- Residence at Launchit Ventures, a healthcare focused venture studio that invests in and creates companies. 
EIT Health Spain Partnership
We are pleased to announce our partnership for the global entrepreneurship course with EIT Health Spain supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology, a body of the European Union with the aim of promoting health innovation in Europe.

EIT Health has 150 partner organizations and connects thousands of entrepreneurs and startups, bringing together the brightest minds in healthcare to answer some of the biggest health challenges Europe faces. The organization was created in 2005 as a Europe-wide research powerhouse and has become Europe’s largest innovation network, including pharmaceutical companies, universities and ecosystem partners to facilitate innovation and entrepreneurship. Its education program provides practical knowledge for healthcare professionals, students, entrepreneurs, citizens and patients, to develop the skills needed for a future healthcare system, bridging the gap between academe and business.

We welcome EIT Health Spain as a partner for our global course.
Barcelona Alumni Meetings
Stephanie Marrus, Managing Director Entrepreneurship, UCSF and Global Course Director, recently visited Barcelona to meet with key members of the startup ecosystem, delivered a US State Department sponsored talk and guest lectured at top business schools.  She shared a podium at ESADE Business School with faculty member and Global Course Cohort 1 alumnus Jonathan Wareham, met with Ramon Noguera, Cohort 3 alumnus and Academic Director at EADA Business School and connected with Cohort 2 alumni Meritxell Teixido and Esther Riambau of Gate2Brain.

American Medical Association’s (AMA) Physician Innovation Network
UCSF Entrepreneurship was invited to join the AMA's Physician Innovation Network, an online community of 18,000 physicians and healthcare leaders. The network allows entrepreneurs to obtain physician input while developing healthtech products. We were connected by AMA President Jack Resneck, MD, UCSF's Vice Chair of Dermatology.
