Dear friends of the Center for Irish Music,

Summer has arrived, and we are enjoying the quiet nature of the first few weeks of summer term. Students and instructors are learning the tunes and songs from the Minnesota Irish Music Weekend, and getting together at senior grad parties, sessions and concerts around town.

The 14th annual Minnesota Irish Music Weekend was a delightful, inspiring festival. Thanks to the students, instructors, volunteers and event attendees. A special thanks goes out to our event sponsors, and to our volunteer event chair, Jo Ann Vano. Check out our Facebook page and website for photos of the event, coming soon. And save the date for the 2023 event on June 8-11, 2023.

You may have heard that the Center for Irish Music is expanding! We are very excited about this project that will enable us to better serve our students and the Irish traditional music community.

The total project cost is $300,000. The Center For Irish Music board of directors has designated $100,000 from the organization's surplus to this project, and we are seeking $100,000 from foundations and grants.

Our goal is to raise the remaining $100,000 from community members like you by Labor Day! This ambitious goal will allow us to use the expanded space for our 2023 school year. Every dollar helps, and we are thrilled to announce that our board has already pledged $34,000! Individual donors have already contributed $6250.

Join us in supporting this exciting project and help us raise the remaining $66,850 by September 5th! Visit www.centerforirishmusic.org/expansion for more information and a link to donate, or reach out to me if you'd like to learn more.
