Summer Support
Dear Friend,

Whether we're in the dead of winter or in a summer heat wave, it's never easy to be homeless.

Community members living on the streets are at increased risk for dehydration and heat stroke in the Florida summer months. Without adequate protection and basic resources, it’s challenging to stay clean, rested, and protected from mosquitos and the sun.

To better serve our homeless community, The Kearney Center's bed count has increased to 325 and in-take hours have expanded to 7 days a week, 9 am-8 pm, with emergency drop-offs from Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare and law enforcement any time after 8 pm.

Our staff has compiled a list of wish list items to help clients and individuals in the community through the summer months. I’m calling on our supporters to give items from our wish list or make a donation to support the homeless through this vulnerable time.

We appreciate your support!

Sincerely,

Samantha Vance, CEO

To schedule an appointment, call 850-792-9000. Ask for Whitney or Daren.

Already vaccinated?

Those who have already taken the initiative to get vaccinated can also be rewarded. If you've been vaccinated from any facility other than The Kearney Center since February 2022, we will reward you with the $50 incentive pay.
