Summer Intern Spotlight: QolorFLEX NuNeon and Dimmers Reuse Office Lighting Project

Many people don’t know that City Theatrical offers a summer internship program in the areas of engineering and manufacturing at our facility in Carlstadt, New Jersey, USA. We strive to provide our summer interns with meaningful learning experiences that inspire a career in lighting.

In celebration of this year’s summer internship program at City Theatrical, we talked to Joe Fails, our Production Manager, in July 2023 to learn more about a special QolorFLEX NuNeon®, RGB reuse installation project that our interns, Christopher Lee and Kyle Donahue worked on this year. Multiverse at Imagine Clearwater, FL Amphitheater

Congratulations to all the teams involved with the opening of the Imagine Clearwater, Florida project earlier this month, especially to the team at Solotech for setting up the Multiverse® wireless DMX/RDM system to wirelessly control the outdoor lighting. The wireless DMX product list included:

6 Multiverse Vero Transceivers 900MHz/2.4GHz (P/N 7400-5902)
Antenna Adapter Cable (P/N 5641)
Antenna Extensions with mounting brackets (3-foot)
Yagi Antenna, 11dBi, 900MHz/ 2.4GHz (P/N 5982), which is shown in the photo over the aerial view of the park.

For over 37 years, we have worked hard to become one of the world’s premier manufacturers of unique lighting accessories. We offer industry-leading mechanical beam control products and LED lighting solutions. Our Multiverse Wireless DMX/RDM technology has been accepted as the global standard in live performance. Our founder, Gary Fails, has built City Theatrical into a strong company. Recently he has been looking to retire but wanted to ensure it can continue to grow in good hands.
