During the mornings of June, our group engaged in various activities, including book discussions with Bobbi, arts and crafts with Sarah and Doug, gardening with Holly, Dail, and Doug in our new garden, hiking the east end park trail, playing pickleball with Sarah, and observing the rare Lady Slippers at the Eshqua Bog Natural Area with Kitty. We also had educational programs on science with Linda G., music immersion with Emerson, music with Cooie, singing with Kerry, music movement with Mark and Kathleen, art with Karen, and art with Finnie. Billings Farm provided us with farm programs as well. Bi-weekly yoga classes with Amanda U., Annie, Liz, and Miss Amanda helped us stay fit, while fitness classes with Bari and fitness games with Doug kept us active. We also played golf at the Woodstock Country Club. Our field trips included bowling at Maple Lanes, cycling on Rail Trail with Vermont Adaptive, visiting Fort Ticonderoga, St. Gaudens in Plainfield, the Hildene Homestead in Manchester, Vermont, and watching "YOU'RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN" in Weston, Vermont. We also saw the LITTLE MERMAID at Town Hall Theater and went strawberry picking, and had maple creamies at Edgewater Farm. A highlight of the month was watching a video of our musical, ZILLY ZONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, with the entire cast and special friends at Town Hall Theater, followed by a pizza party at Zack's Place. |
