Summer is here and it's shaping up to be a hot one! We've got lots of good news to share in our summer issue.

Four NC teams made an excellent showing at the recently held, USASA Region III National Cup Championship Tournament in Plano, TX. Summer leagues around the state are in full swing, and USASA's annual flagship adult soccer tournament, Soccer Fest, (Greensboro, NC) is less than two weeks away!

Our ever-popular summer events, Queen City Cup and Beer City Cup tournaments are full-steam ahead with tournament registrations! No matter your age, or skill level, there's an opportunity for you to play soccer in North Carolina all-year 'round.

USASA Region III Winners!

Once again, our state was well represented at the USASA Region III National Cup Championship Tournament held at Carpenter Park, Plano, Texas June 9th-11th.

NC teams: Tobacco Road FC (Men’s Open), Sporting Charlotte Men’s (Over 40), Mavericks (Over 40) and Lady Beags (Women’s Open) battled valiantly in their divisions in pursuit of a national title. We are so proud of our incredibly talented amateur teams!

Tobacco Road FC, is the 2023 USASA Region III Men’s Amateur Champion, and the first North Carolina amateur team to win Regionals since 2000!

Titans NTX (North Texas), Champions for the USASA Region III Men’s Over 40 division, are not able to attend the Final Four tournament in Iowa. Sporting Charlotte, the Men’s Over 40 Finalist, will compete in their place.

NCASA takes pride in supporting our North Carolina teams, and to help ease the burden of out-of-state travel costs, NCASA approved a travel subsidy at its June board meeting. The travel subsidy (of up to $5,000) will be split between the two teams.

Congratulations again to Tobacco Road FC and Sporting Charlotte! We wish you all the best on the national stage at USASA’s National Amateur Final Four Cup in Quad Cities, IA August 4-6^th!

Tobacco Road FC went on an impressive 5-0 winning streak with a 35-5 goals scored advantage over 3 days.
