Softball Season is here!

Throughout July, athletes will compete in softball skills competitions and regional softball tournaments. All athletes competing in the skills competitions and teams competing in the regional tournaments automatically advance to state!

2023 Unified Golf

We are excited to share that the 2023 Unified Golf Tour begins this month! The tour pairs individuals with and without intellectual disabilities to compete in a team environment. The tour will stop at 8 locations across Iowa this summer and fall, offering several skill levels to meet the skill level of any athlete.

Come out to your local Culver's on July 18th between 4:00-8:00 pm to see local law enforcement and Special Olympic athletes collecting donations for Special Olympics. Stores will also be donating $1 from every Concrete Mixer® sold on the day of the promotion. Stores will also be collecting money in canisters during the month of the promotion, called “Change for Champions.”

Join Cargill and Special Olympics Iowa on Saturday, July 22nd for a night out at the Cedar Rapids Kernels game. The game will begin at 6:35 pm. In addition to the ballgame, participants will enjoy a silent auction on the concourse and fireworks! A limited number of tickets are available for Special Olympics Iowa athletes and guests. Tickets are free for athletes and $10 for guests.

You don't want to miss this! Mark your calendars for Thursday, August 31st from 11:00-2:00 pm. Stop by your local Texas Roadhouse for lunch in exchange for a freewill donation to Special Olympics Iowa.
