EquipmentShare is a technology and equipment rental company that was founded in 2014 by brothers Jabbok Schlacks and Willy Schlacks. The company offers a digital marketplace platform that connects contractors and construction companies with equipment rental providers. The Hub team is assisting EquipmentShare to grow its "EquipmentShare Academy," a RAP, which will address the skilled labor shortage in the construction industry by providing individuals with hands-on training and education in various construction-related fields.

The Latin American Association of Atlanta, GA, is a nonprofit organization that serves and supports the Latino community. The association provides a wide range of social services, educational programs, and resources, including employment services. The Hub is excited to support the Latin American Association in establishing a RAP to support Latinos in the Atlanta metropolitan area.

Verisurf Software, Inc. is a leading company specializing in metrology software solutions and 3D measurement technology. Based in Anaheim, California, Verisurf develops and offers advanced metrology software that enables manufacturers to perform precise measurements, inspections, and reverse engineering tasks. The Hub will assist Verisurf in establishing its RAP to teach its comprehensive suite of metrology software, expanding its Verisurf University offerings to Veterans.

The Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio (ULGSO) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals and communities in the Greater Cincinnati area and Southwestern Ohio. The organization is affiliated with the National Urban League and works to promote economic empowerment, education, and social justice for African Americans and other underserved communities. Working with the Hub, ULGSO will greater empower Ohio by expanding its workforce development offerings.

Dress for Success Palm Beaches: Road to Success Summer Series

39th Annual Kentucky SHRM Conference
When: August 29-31, 2023
Where: Lexington, KY
Dina Igoe, the Hub's Business Development and Marketing Specialist, and Michelle DeJohn, Deputy Commissioner for the Kentucky Department of Workforce Development, will co-host a breakout session called "Moving Your Business Forward Through Registered Apprenticeships." The Hub's partners from IEC of the Bluegrass, Carmeuse, and the Davis H. Elliot Company will join Dina and Michelle in their presentation.

Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio Apprenticeship Event
Later in the summer, the Hub will join the Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio in hosting an event to assist in upskilling Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities and provide information for how the Hub can assist in the diversification of the talent pipeline through Apprenticeships.

The Hub Launches Veterans Resources Webpage
The Hub is happy to announce the launch of our Veterans webpage, which will serve as a library of resources for service members, past and present.
Not only will the Hub's Veterans page host resources for vets, but it will also share resources for RAP sponsors to recruit service members, veterans, and military spouses. Career seekers can also benefit from connecting with these programs to find RAPs and start earning while they learn.

A New Resource from the Employment and Training Administration (ETA)
At the end of June, DOL ETA launched a brand-new tool, the Registered Apprenticeship Academy, which aims to provide top-notch information, training, and resources to all those involved in RA. This academy, offering a wide range of courses, webinars, and resources, was specifically designed to cater to the needs of RAP sponsors, apprentices, state apprenticeship agency partners, and other stakeholders. The academy has a lot of great educational videos on all aspects of RA to share with the Hub's current — and future — partners.

The Hub helps employers, education institutions, workforce development boards, career seekers, and military service members — all at no cost:
▶ Offer incentive funding and technical assistance to RAP sponsors and employers
▶ Provide support for national and state registration of RAPs
▶ Conduct education and outreach to key stakeholders about benefits of RAPs in supply chain automation
▶ Connect interested employers with education and training providers, and workforce organizations
▶ Support education institutions offering applied learning aligned to in-demand careers and pathways to a college degree and/or certification
▶ Assist in outreach and marketing efforts to promote RAPs with a focus on equity and diversity
▶ Identify state and federal funding opportunities
