JULY 2024

Tune in to Georgia Appleseed

What's the best way to spend the next 45 seconds? Listening to our new radio ad!

Click the buttons on the right to hear our spots on WABE (90.1 FM). And listen in to WABE, NPR’s local affiliate, or its many podcasts to catch it live. We’re proud to partner with public radio to advance justice and equity for Georgia's most vulnerable children. Be sure to listen in and spread the word!

Have You Seen See Me?

Our traveling showcase of beautiful artwork by youth in foster care is coming to a venue near you! See Me: Pieces of Life has touched Georgians across the state. Lawmakers, elected officials, business leaders, attorneys, educators, and students tell us that the youth’s powerful paintings, sculpture, and stories move them to advocate for marginalized youth, volunteer for Georgia Appleseed, and support our policy proposals. Since the exhibit first debuted at 2023 Roaring for Justice, See Me has expanded and traveled across the state, including Valdosta State University, law firms Taylor English Duma, Nelson Mullins, and most recently, Troutman Pepper.

Troutman Pepper is proud to sponsor Georgia Appleseed generally and more specifically the “See Me” Exhibit. We appreciate the ability to display artwork by children in foster care and to let their stories be told in that artwork. Georgia Appleseed is making a difference in allowing children to be successful in Georgia.” -- Brian Harms, Board Member

Check out the events page on our website for upcoming showings and if you are interested in hosting the exhibit at your firm or office, please contact Liz.

We Have Moved!

Georgia Appleseed HQ has a new home. Taylor English Duma is donating the beautiful new office space at 150 Interstate North Parkway. Join us in thanking Taylor English for their generosity and deep commitment to improving the well-being of Georgia's children. Marc Taylor of Taylor English, a Georgia Appleseed board member and long-time champion, notes "Taylor English is incredibly proud to partner with Georgia Appleseed and to continue to host the organization as we expand into and create our new space at 150."

Staff enjoy the new conference area. Photo L-R: Liz McDaniel, Rosalie Monroy, Michael Waller, Morgan Bridgman and Luci Ruiz.
