CancerCare's Stories of Help and Hope

Throughout the year, CancerCare presents the stories of people who have cancer, their caregivers and many more.

Our most recent story comes from Ira N who, when he was diagnosed with stomach cancer, battled opposing feelings of sadness and resilience as he faced treatment and other challenges in his life. He shares his experience in two podcasts hosted by CancerCare's Sarah Paul.

His story joins many other Stories of Help and Hope.

Christine Verini Named to Cancer Health 25: People Who Power Clinical Trials

CancerCare CEO Christine Verini was named as one of Cancer Health's 2024 27 people who are leading the way in promoting the role of clinical trials in the future of cancer care.

In 2023, CancerCare launched www.myTRIAList.org, an educational tool that helps patients learn about clinical trials and find them based on location and other criteria while providing doctor interviews, tutorials and more. This resource is a partnership with Lisa Hefner, Group President of Brightly Network Companies, who was named alongside Verini on Cancer Health's list.

Not only can clinical trials help many patients in their current treatment, they may discover the next advancements in screening, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of cancer.
