YARD SIGN ORDERS

October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month, and we are getting ready to spread the news!

Signs will be ordered early in September and we'll notify you by email when they arrive. You can choose to pick up from Jen Jewell (Bellefonte), Anne Marie Rodgers (State College) or we can figure out another option if necessary. You MUST order with payment by September 1, 2024. Click here to get your yard sign order and payment in NOW to reserve your sign.

Visit our website calendar for additional details about these events and others!

Follow our Facebook page to stay on top of all our news and events and learn more about opportunities for individuals with Down syndrome and their caregivers.

Buddy Walk 2024 is on Saturday, October 19th. Get it on your calendar now and starting talking to your team about fundraising! Registration will begin in August - look for a registration email about All Things Buddy Walk! We will have emcee and speaking/non-speaking opportunities: if a member with Down syndrome is interested in being an emcee in a speaking role for the opening of the Buddy Walk or is interested in a demonstration role (such as holding up a sign or banner), please contact Anne Marie. The deadline to volunteer for emcee and demonstration roles is September 1st.

LEADERSHIP EXCHANGE IN ARTS & DISABILITIES

We are BEYOND EXCITED to share that For Good Performance Troupe Director Krista Wilkinson, Member Kaleb Brownson, and Choreographer Michele Dunleavy will be presenting a workshop at the LEAD conference in Seattle at the end of the month! Sponsored by the Kennedy Center, the Leadership Exchange in Arts and Disability (LEAD) program advances the full inclusion of people with disabilities in arts and culture. Krista, Kaleb & Michele will be leading Supporting Communication Through Performance: Performing Arts and Developmental Disabilities. What an exciting opportunity to share this important concept that CRDSS embraces.

We Need YOU to HELP!

To provide our members with all the things we offer, we need sponsors. (It's either that or sell stuff, and who wants to do that?!) If your employer, your doctor or dentist or other care provider, your favorite restaurant, your church, or any other business you patronize might sponsor us, let us know, and we will reach out. You don't have to ask, but we need your help identifying potential sponsors. Let any board member or Anne Marie know your great ideas.

We are creating a text group to share information about our young adult YES21! events. If you would like to share a mobile number to receive occasional YES21! texts, please email Anne Marie.

Thank You CRDSS Sponsors
