July 4th Celebration

Celebrate our nation’s Independence Day at the Town Grove in Lakeville on Thursday, July 4th. Sponsored by the Salisbury Association Community Events Committee, the annual festivities will begin at noon with the reading of the Declaration of Independence by Heman Allen (a.k.a. Lou Bucceri). Both Heman and his famous brother, Ethan Allen, lived in Salisbury for a period of time.

Following the reading, the Salisbury Band will entertain the crowd with a variety of patriotic music and other tunes. Pack a picnic lunch or enjoy hot dogs and soft drinks sold by members of EXTRAS, the after-school and summer day-care program in Salisbury. Bring chairs or a blanket to set on the lawn, and festive holiday decorations are welcomed. There is no rain date….so hope for a beautiful, sunny day!

The 17th Annual Traditional New England Clambake sponsored by NBT Bank, benefiting the Jane Lloyd Fund, is set for Saturday, July 27th, 2024. Get ready for a day filled with mouthwatering food, live music, and the warm embrace of community spirit.

Indulge in the freshest lobster, clams, corn, and potatoes, all cooked to perfection on a bed of seaweed. Once again, this event is held at SWSA’s Satre Hill in Salisbury.

Your support at the clambake helps us fulfill our mission of assisting families battling cancer with their day-to-day living expenses. Whether you're a seafood enthusiast or not, there's something for everyone at this celebration of community and compassion.

While clambake meal tickets are required for the main event, fear not! We offer a variety of options, including hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, and clam chowder. And to complement your meal, we'll have beer and wine available for purchase. And for those wanting something sweet we have it! The community has offered a dessert table to satisfy anyone's sweet tooth. There is always the ice cream experience! Many varieties and toppings to top off the day!

Bring your family, bring your friends, and bring your appetite for a day filled with laughter and camaraderie—all for a worthy cause. This is a popular event and sells out every year so get your tickets early!!

Please visit our brand new website for more information about the Jane Lloyd Fund and to purchase a clambake meal ticket….. thejanelloydfund.org
